If a trademark is renewed after going through the proper renewal process and paying the renewal price, the trademark’s validity is extended for another ten years. The renewal application must be submitted before the trademark validity expires. If a renewal application is not submitted before the validity period expires, the renewal window will open again for the following year, and the applicant will be required to submit a renewal application, as well as the renewal price and late renewal surcharge.

If the trademark is not renewed within the time, it will be removed from the trademark register, and the applicant is required to file a new application for registration of his mark, following all necessary procedures.
